Qualifications

• Registered in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• Registered in Mammography through ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Opens the unit each morning, tests equipment, and organizes paperwork.
• Greets patients, explains exams, answers questions, and eases patient anxiety.
• Performs radiographic exams and quality checks on images; informs radiologist of required views.
• Prepares patient files and ensures accurate history forms are attached.
• Maintains department cleanliness and supplies; ensures proper storage and security of materials.
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge in radiography and mammography through lectures and seminars.
