Job summary

Red River Pharmacy LTC is seeking an experienced, motivated PRN Long-Term Care Pharmacist to join our team in Texarkana, TX. This role offers approximately 2–3 days per week with an optional on-call rotation for additional compensation.

The candidate should hold a current, unrestricted Texas pharmacist license with LTC experience and a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy. Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and collaboration with healthcare professionals are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in Texas.
• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
• Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Evaluate dosing, interactions, contraindications, and patient safety.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to long-term care and assisted living facilities.
• Collaborate with prescribers, nursing staff, and technicians to ensure timely medication services.
• Maintain efficient daily pharmacy workflow and standards.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff as needed.
