Job summary

Good Samaritan - Bethany in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN/on-call coverage across days, evenings, and nights. The role involves providing skilled nursing care to residents in a 79-bed facility, administering treatments, and collaborating with the care team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program with an active LPN license, and the ability to work six shifts per month including two weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and be licensed as LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Must hold an unencumbered LPN license and meet ongoing CEU and licensure requirements.
• Drug screen and pre-employment background check are required as part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Communicate clearly with an interdisciplinary care team and maintain confidentiality.
• Counsel residents and family as directed on prevention and treatment plans.

Education
