Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a PRN LPN – Dispensing Nurse for the Montgomery County Methadone Center. This role supports the MAT program, providing patient-centered nursing care, medication support, education, and monitoring.

The position offers flexible supplemental hours, including Saturday morning shifts, with DailyPay available and a focus on compassionate, high-quality care for individuals in treatment for substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with electronic health records and other databases.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical providers.
• Monitor patients for potential adverse reactions or side effects and communicate concerns to the appropriate medical provider.
• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, medical histories, and current medications.
• Provide patient education and support related to medication management and harm reduction practices.
• Conduct urine drug screenings and other testing as ordered by medical providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Maintain the security of medications and the dispensing area while following applicable medication management protocols.
• Enter medication orders into the electronic record as prescribed by providers.
• Provide emergency medical treatment within the scope of nursing practice when necessary.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical nursing standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, quality improvement activities, and program evaluation as required.
