Job summary
Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions in Buffalo, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse PRN for corrections. Under RN supervision, you will assess patients, administer medications, and support treatment plans in both health care units and housing areas.
You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold current LPN/LVN licensure in the state, and maintain CPR certification. This PRN role requires flexibility for 4–8 hour shifts, weekend coverage, and availability for on-site
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 1 year clinic experience preferred.
- Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment and CPR certification are required.
Responsibilities
- Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions to support individualized treatment planning.
- Administers medications, including IV therapy if certified, per established protocols.
- Participates in controlled substance counts and follows safety techniques and standard precautions.
- Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Attends mandatory staff meetings and training to ensure high-quality patient care.
