Job summary

Apple Tree Dental seeks a dedicated PRN Licensed Dental Assistant to join our team. The position supports community sites in MN with flexible scheduling and travel as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care and a smooth patient experience.

You will assist dentists, prepare rooms, take X-rays, educate patients, and help with records and administrative tasks, while maintaining infection control standards and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• Active Minnesota Licensure, DAND Certification, and/or other state jurisprudence requirements.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Effective English communication skills; Spanish proficiency preferred at some clinics.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in patient care, procedures and exams.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as required.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Travel to community sites, may involve driving company vehicle or personal vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists in all aspects of patient care, including procedures and exams


• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols


• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required


• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care


• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks as needed


• Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment


• Travel as needed to support community sites, which may include driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program


• Active Minnesota Licensure, DAND Certification, and/or other state jurisprudence requirements to perform designated tasks


• Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross


• Effective oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency preferred based on clinic location)


• Valid driver’s license and ability to be added to the company car insurance roster highly preferred
