Job summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a PRN Licensed Counselor in Louisiana. Compensation: $50/hr.

(LPC, PLPC, LMSW, LCSW and LAC). The Counselor provides group therapies, individual counseling, and when appropriate, family therapy, with communication to referral sources and court systems as part of treatment and discharge planning. The counselor works within a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment planning, case reviews, and all required documentation for agency, state, and funding

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work or Counseling.
A valid Louisiana license in counseling, addiction counseling, or social work.
At least 1 year of substance use disorder treatment modalities experience.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical services to assigned clients; conduct group therapies daily, individual counseling and/or family therapy as outlined in treatment plans; co-lead group therapies; conduct family assessments/therapy.
Function as liaison to outside agencies; participate in case planning conferences; attend court hearings and represent the agency and clients.
Maintain contact with agency personnel, client’s drug court officer, and family members regarding progress and crises.
