OdysseyHouse Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor or Social Worker to join its mission of providing a continuum of care in Louisiana, encompassing primary care, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment.

The Counselor will follow a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule and coordinate with referral sources and courts as part of discharge planning. The role requires a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work or Counseling and an LBS/W state license, with at least 1 year

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work or Counseling.
• Valid Louisiana state license in counseling, addiction counseling, or social work.
• At least 1 year of substance use disorder treatment modalities and DSM-V experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical services to assigned clients; conduct group therapies daily, individual counseling and/or family therapy as outlined in treatment plans.
• Co-lead group therapies and conduct family assessments/therapy as needed.
• Serve as liaison to outside agencies, attend case planning conferences and treatment meetings.
• Maintain contact with Agency personnel, client’s drug court officer, and families about progress and crises.
• Maintain clinical case files including assessments, treatment plans, notes and discharge summaries.
• Apply ASAM Criteria to treatment planning.
• Maximize services units and ensure engagement in treatment.
• Provide crisis management when indicated by client need.
• Assist with planning and organizing therapeutic client activities.
• Ensure written reports and EMR documentation are up-to-date.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings; participate in quarterly trainings.
• Complete incident reports as required and adhere to contract requirements.

Job Summary

OdysseyHouse Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor or SocialWorker. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

The Counselor will provide specialized services for the assigned caseload, providecore and ancillary group therapies weekly, individual counseling and whenappropriate, family therapy. The Counselor has the main responsibility ofmaintaining communication with the referral source, court systems, and otherinvolved human service providers as related to the client’s ongoing treatmentand discharge planning.

Responsibilities and Duties

Itis the duty and responsibility of the Counselor to:

• provide clinical services to assigned clients; conduct group therapiesdaily, individual counseling and/orfamily therapy as outlined in treatment plans; co-lead group therapies; conductfamily assessments/therapy;
• function as a liaison to outside agencies, participate in caseplanning conferences, and treatment meetings and, when necessary, attend courthearings and represent the agency and client(s);
• maintain contact with and is available to Agency personnel, client’sdrug court officer, and family members regarding client's progress, problemsand crises;
• maintain clinical case file for each client to include: assessments,Individual Treatment Plans, case notes, and discharge summaries;
• apply ASAM Criteria to treatment planning;
• maximize units of services and maintain contract units of service byworking with clients to stay engaged in treatment;
• provide crisis management when indicated by client need;
• assist with the planning and organization of therapeutic clientactives both at and outside of the facility;
• ensure all written reports are up-to-date in case file;
• ensure completion of electronic medical record documentation;
• attend staff and other meetings;
• attend regularly scheduled in-service training;
• participate in quarterly training with staff;
• complete all Incident Reports prior to the end of scheduled shift asrequired by Incident Policy and Procedure;
• adhere to all Louisiana Department of Health and Agency contractrequirements;
• maintain COA standards and participate in COA site audits;
• collaborate with other departments;
• work with Bayou Health providers for initial authorization andconcurrent authorizations;
• ensure that all sign in sheets are printed for group and all groupsare batched for billing; and
• perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum qualifications include the following:

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work or Counseling
• A valid Louisiana State issued license in either counseling, addictioncounseling, or social work
• At least 1 year of substance use disorder treatment modalities(emphasis on Minnesota Model) and DSM-V experience
• Excellent communication skills
