Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is hiring a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples following hospital standards. Under supervision of a Medical Technologist, you will perform specimen collection using finger sticks, venipuncture, and other required procedures.

You will ensure proper labeling, data entry, and prepare samples for multiple departments while maintaining safety and patient care. Hospital experience preferred; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Phlebotomy Course required.
• One year of experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Six months computer keyboarding or equivalent preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs collections of blood samples and specimens efficiently and appropriately following hospital and department standards and policies. Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist, the Phlebotomist may also performs routine technical functions, CLIA waived analyses and quality control.
