Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team on a PRN basis, with rotating shifts and up to 20 hours every two weeks. You will perform laboratory tests for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Responsibilities include patient ID verification, explaining collection procedures, maintaining hygiene and chain of custody, receptionist duties, and cleaning and stocking tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 months on-the-job phlebotomy training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patients' identities and enter information into the computer system accurately.
• Explain the sample collection process to patients and answer questions.
• Follow safe hygiene rules and chain of custody protocols.
• Perform receptionist duties such as greeting and directing patients and filing tasks as needed.
• Complete cleaning, stocking, and sanitation tasks per regulations.
