Missouri Delta Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant for PRN shifts at Sikeston, MO. The role involves collecting blood specimens, transporting samples to the lab, and logging data into the LIS. Some clerical duties are required and patient identification is essential.

The position supports 12:30 pm to 8 pm shifts as needed, with part-time PRN coverage. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred and basic computer skills are beneficial for daily operations.

Formación

• Phlebotomist with preferred experience.
• Clerical skills and basic computer skills required or preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain blood specimens following designated policies and procedures.
• Transport specimens from hospital areas to the laboratory.
• Log specimens into the LIS and distribute them to the appropriate lab department.
• Perform venipunctures and return samples to the laboratory as quickly as possible.
• Label all samples at bedside and log into the system.
• Identify patients by name and DOB prior to collection.
• Review collection log for incomplete collections.
• Other duties as assigned.
