Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking a PRN Inpatient Rehab RN to join our team. You will assess patients on admission, document care, administer medications, and monitor responses as part of a comprehensive rehab program.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Florida RN license or compact licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and at least one year of acute care RN experience; rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience.
• A minimum of one year experience with rehab patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and report changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of physical inpatient rehab patients.
