Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training or Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or intern/extern license if enrolled.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire.
• No criminal history related to working with drugs.
• Strong mathematical calculation skills.
• Ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills under supervision.
• Ability to learn effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to learn and execute customer service skills.
• Typing proficiency and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies, specialty medications, and medication histories.
• Answer telephones, take refill orders, enter orders, and prepare medications for pharmacist check.
• Prepare medications for disbursement/shipment/delivery and maintain records.
• Handle supplies, stocking prepackaged items, maintain inventory, deliver supplies.
• May assist in bulk compounding and preparation of IV solutions.
• Work with pharmacy staff to minimize the potential for medication errors.
