Job summary

Athra Systems/Crosstown Mental Health is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant with addiction medicine experience to provide SUD treatment in a residential setting. You will perform assessments, medication management, and develop recovery plans in collaboration with psychiatrists and the care team.

This in-person role requires an active Texas APRN license, DEA registration, and board certification.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Two years of experience working as a PMHNP/FNP/PA-C is preferred.
• Board Certification as PMHNP/FNP/PA-C.
• Active and unrestricted APRN license in Texas.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Texas.
• Schedule of 7 days on 7 days off.
• This is an in-person position. Must be within commuting distance to Lubbock, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive substance use disorder (SUD) evaluations and assessments for patients.
• Complete history and physical examinations upon admission and as clinically indicated.
• Provide ongoing medical follow-up and medication management for patients receiving SUD treatment services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications related to addiction treatment, detoxification, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and overall patient wellness.
• Provide supportive counseling, patient education, and relapse prevention interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain timely, detailed, and accurate patient documentation and medical records.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration efforts.
• Remain current on advancements in addiction medicine, behavioral health treatment, and evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.

Position Overview:
