Qualifications

• Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist/Limited Scope Operator in Utah or ARRT Registry Eligible
• Currently completing your last semester in a Radiology Technologist associate degree program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
• Competence in at least one: Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic exams producing quality images while prioritizing safety.
• Verify patient identification and imaging orders, prepare patients.
• Explain procedures to patients and ease anxiety.
• Follow imaging protocols, positioning techniques, equipment procedures, and radiation safety guidelines.
• Recognize emergent situations and respond quickly.
• Complete required documentation including timestamps and image storage.
• Coordinate care and communicate with other providers after procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Keep supplies and equipment organized and ready for use.
• Continue to develop knowledge and skills through education and training.
