Qualifications

• Be within the last semester or having graduated from a Radiology Technologist program
• Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic procedures under supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Maintains patient identification and verifies orders
• Prepares patients for exams and explains procedures
• Reviews images for quality and accuracy
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe work environment
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care or quality
• Provides patient education and addresses questions
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques
• Operates imaging equipment and related information systems
• Maintains accurate records of patient information and procedures
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and quality-control programs
