Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Charlotte, NC is seeking a PRN Floating Patient Services Assistant to support imaging exams and patients. You will help screen patients, assist with paperwork, and coordinate with Radiology staff to ensure smooth workflow. This role offers flexible, on-demand shifts to cover PTO and other coverage needs.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, CPR certification, and 0–2 years of related experience. Training occurs during the first week.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
CPR certification required.
0–2 years of prior experience.
Experience as a technical assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

Screen patients prior to exam day.
Assist the patient in completing paperwork.
Obtain medical history from the patient.
Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam.
Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room.
Screen the patient for the exam - mainly MRI and CT exams.
Assist the technologist in preparing the exam table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.).
Collate films and deliver to Radiologist.
Maintain linen inventory.
Assist with quarterly imaging inventory.
Research availability and obtain reports and films requested by Radiologist.
Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist.
Other duties as assigned.
