Job summary

CHRISTUS St. Vincent in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an energetic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the ICU team in a PRN capacity.

You will help manage critical care emergencies and life-support systems within our Level III Trauma Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will round daily with a multidisciplinary ICU panel, collaborate with intensivists to diagnose and manage complex cases, and perform essential inpatient procedures while providing flexible coverage to meet census demands.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain).
• Two or more years of ICU or high-acuity critical care experience.
• Excellent communication skills, procedural confidence, and a patient-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive daily rounding on a multidisciplinary ICU patient panel.
• Collaborate with attending Intensivists and care team members to diagnose, manage, and implement aggressive care plans for complex cases.
• Safely perform essential inpatient critical care procedures and bedside interventions.
• Provide adaptive, high-quality coverage to meet unit census demands and scheduling needs.
