Qualifications

• 1+ year public contact in a medical setting.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• High School Grad or Equiv preferred.
• Must be able to use a computer for patient information and department clerical functions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow patient identification/verification process prior to transporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between bed, stretcher, and wheelchair.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain clear hallways by moving unused equipment to storage areas.
• Assist in the safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
• Learn and follow departmental policies and procedures.
