Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a cook in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or similar setting preferred.
• Food Handler’s Card or local food safety certification required.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers, patients, and visitors; dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using standardized recipes and production worksheets.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Assist in food storage, labeling, and inventory control.
• Ensure meals are served on time and maintain quality and presentation.
• Close kitchen operations and keep work areas clean and organized.
