Job summary

Methodist Hospice & Family Care seeks a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to perform 10–15 visits per week with potential weekend and night on-call duties. You will provide direct patient care per physician orders, manage pain and symptoms, and work with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Required qualifications include RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and a valid driver license, with an Associate or Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Valid Driver License is required.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Deliver end-of-life care and manage pain/symptom control.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for providing direct patient care in accordance with physician orders, recognizing standards of practice and establishing company policies and procedures. Responsible for following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Follows the plan of care, provides treatments, and works collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes
• Provides direct patient care as defined in State Nurse Practice Act, including specialized duties related to end of life care
• Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group, including Hospice Aide, Director of Clinical Services - Hospice, and Chaplain
• Provides appropriate pain/symptom management

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• (DL) Driver License
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
