Job summary

Adventist Home Health and Hospice is seeking a PRN Home Health Aide to join our Austin team. You will provide hands-on personal care in patients\' homes, following care plans and building genuine relationships.

This is a per-visit role offering control over your schedule and meaningful, one-on-one support. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus; valid Texas driver\'s license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of prior professional caregiving experience preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, bathing, and transferring to wheelchairs or vehicles.
• Provide personal care, change bed linens, do light laundry, and help maintain a clean home environment.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, progress, or concerns and report observations to your supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients through conversation, reading aloud, or light activities to support mental engagement and wellbeing.
• Assist patients with light exercises or activities as outlined in the care plan.
• Accept PRN visits based on your own availability.

Education

High school diploma or GED
