The role emphasizes strict adherence to CLIA '88 guidelines, quality control, and ongoing equipment maintenance, with additional clerical duties as needed.

Formación

• NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program completed within last five years if not ASCP certified.
• Alternative: Associate degree with 12 biology and 12 chemistry.
• Alternatively: 60 semester hours with 12 biology and 12 chemistry plus 1 year histopathology experience.
• Must obtain HT certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by Pathologist.
• Assist Pathologist with examinations on submitted tissue specimens and preparations.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Clerical tasks, specimen collection, and related laboratory services.
