Job summary

Qualifications

• Food handler certification or ServSafe required by first day of work.
• One+ year of cook/line cook experience in restaurant or healthcare preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items and assist with basic food production tasks.
• Follow recipes and instructions for food preparation.
• May prepare bulk items, large-scale production, line cook, or assemble specialty meals and catered items.
• Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen workspace.
• Rotate stock and ensure proper quantities of prepared foods.
• Interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient-care settings.
• Deliver patient meals or perform cashier/stock duties as needed.
• Operate and sanitize equipment including ware-washing machines.
