Job summary

Regional One Health's Jefferson Medical GICU in Memphis, TN seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within the unit and support float staffing needs.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes across adult and neonatal populations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school/program.
• Registered Nurse with TN licensure required.
• CPR certification required.
• BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as RN required.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates assessment based on patient problems, physician diagnosis and care needs.
• Documents assessment, diagnoses and care plans.
• Administers medications (IM, IV, SQ, PO) and monitors patient responses.
• Performs clinical rounds and ongoing assessments; updates diagnoses as needed.
• Teaches patients/families and plans for discharge and follow-up care.
• Maintains patient records and ensures safety and infection control compliance.
