Rivetus Rehab in Shelby Township, MI is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive OT services to geriatric patients in a skilled nursing setting. You will assess, plan, and implement therapy, supervise OTAs and aides, and document care per standards.

You will participate in patient care conferences, contribute to program development, and ensure compliance with current clinical practices. This position is PRN/contingent and located at Shelby facility.

Formación

• Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence with activities of daily living, including self-care skills, work and leisure.
• Provides occupational therapy treatments aligned with the professional and ethical standards of the AOTA for an Occupational Therapist.
• Develops and implements treatment plans using adaptations, strengthening and retraining to reach patients’ highest potential for independence. Adheres to professional standards of practice.
• Provides direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards by use of graded activities to facilitate the restoration of physical and functional abilities.
• Checks, instructs, assigns and reviews the work of OTAs and aides as assigned.
• Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates in patient care conferences and CQI activities as required.
• Promotes current standards of clinical practice through continuing education and in-service programs.
