Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited OT program.
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence with activities of daily living, including self-care skills, work and leisure.
• Develops and implements treatment plans using adaptations and retraining to reach patients’ independence.
• Provides supervision for OTAs and aides as assigned.
• Completes documentation and maintains medical records per policy and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates in CQI activities and continuing education.
