Job description

This position is responsible for:

1. Working in the patient meal assembly area
2. Washing patient and cafeteria dishes
3. Removing garbage from the department
4. Sweeping and mopping the kitchen area
5. Picking up dirty patient trays from nursing floors
6. Collaborating with others within the Food and Nutrition Services department to provide quality food and service to patients
7. Assisting with stocking food and condiments for the patient area

Additional responsibilities include using various cleaning supplies, operating the dish machine, and performing tasks that range from medium to heavy demand. All tasks require walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing. Normal vision is necessary. The work environment is inside, hot, and humid. The employee may be required to rotate shifts based on staffing needs.
