Job description

This position is responsible for:

1. Working in the patient meal assembly area
2. Washing patient and cafeteria dishes
3. Removing garbage from the department
4. Sweeping and mopping the kitchen area
5. Picking up dirty patient trays from nursing floors
6. Collaborating with others within the Food and Nutrition Services department to provide quality food and service to patients
7. Assisting with stocking food and condiments for patient areas
8. Using various cleaning supplies and operating dish machines

Work demands range from medium to heavy, requiring walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and pushing. Normal vision is required. The work environment is inside, hot, and humid. The position may require rotating to other shifts to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications include the ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions.
