Job summary

Candidates must have an accredited nursing degree, Alabama RN license, CPR, and ACLS within 180 days. This full-time role requires strong clinical skills, documentation, and commitment to patient safety. Experience with critical care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting the minimum standards.
• 2 years of professional nursing experience.
• CPR certification upon hire.
• ACLS certification within 180 days of hire.
• RN licensure in Alabama or compact state within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provides family-centered healthcare using an interdisciplinary approach to deliver state-of-the-art care.
• Supervises and coordinates patient care provided by licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Administers medications, including controlled substances, and manages blood products.
• Performs EKG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring setup.
• Starts IVs and provides direct patient care per unit competencies.
• Maintains accurate medical records and documentation in the Hospital Information System.
• Communicates with physicians and healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
