Job summary

Scotland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Tech to join the Nursing Float Pool. The 7p–7a shift focuses on routine personal care, patient mobility, positioning, transfers, and supporting nurses.

Requirements include an active North Carolina CNA listing, BLS American Heart certification, and at least 1 year of CNA experience; a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Computer skills are preferred for records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care and assists with activities of daily living for patients.
• Assists patients with ambulation, turning, positioning, and transfers.
• Notifies the nurse of abnormal findings and documents care provided.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly patient care area.
• Implements infection control measures and adheres to safety guidelines.
