Job summary

Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC seeks a full-time Patient Care Tech (CNA) for the 7p-7a shift. You will provide routine personal care and assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and positioning under the supervision of licensed nurses.

The role requires NC CNA certification, BLS, a high school diploma, and at least one year of CNA experience; strong clerical/computer skills preferred. You will help maintain safety, observe infection control, and document patient care.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina CNA listing.
• BLS American Heart.
• 1 Year CNA Experience; Computer Skills (Preferred)
• High School Diploma Or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care and assists with activities of daily living for patients.
• Assists patients with body mechanics such as ambulation, turning, positioning, transfer to wheelchairs/stretchers, and range of motion assistance.
• Performs special procedures as assigned and notifies nurse of abnormal findings.
• Documents nursing assistant care provided to patients per policy.
• Observes infection control measures.
• Performs clerical duties in maintaining reports and records of the patient care unit.
• Performs other duties delegated by licensed nurse.
• Follows patient safety guidelines (e.g., patient identifiers, labeling specimens at the bedside).
• Admits patients and assists in completing and recording admission data as applicable within scope and policy.
• Age-specific competency across Neonatal to Geriatric ranges.
• Responsible for self growth and maintaining competence.
• Maintains a clean, neat, orderly working area.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.
