Job summary

John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a PRN event support technician to assist with pavilion and village-wide activities. This role requires availability for late nights and weekends and involves setting up and tearing down equipment for meetings, programs, and entertainment.

You will move heavy equipment, operate audio/visual gear, perform minor repairs, and help ensure a safe, well-organized event environment. Training is provided; punctuality and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with sound or lighting equipment preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate equipment manuals.
• Basic math and ability to follow directions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up for Pavilion and Village activities as scheduled.
• Move and position tables, chairs, PA systems, pianos for events; tear down after.
• Operate audio, visual, and lighting equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Ensure safe working conditions and maintain equipment.
• Transport equipment and assist with other staff tasks as needed.
