Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor).
• Minimum of six months of clinical experience as a licensed RN.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact; must obtain Texas license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative process.
• Prepare patients, including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in site verification, briefing, time out, debriefing per policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
