Job summary

Medcor Inc. is seeking a PRN EMT or Paramedic to join our onsite occupational health clinic in Nevada, IA. You will provide hands-on patient care for workplace injuries, support wellness programs, and help employees safely return to work on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Shifts include 1st and 2nd options, with coverage based on clinic needs. This role is ideal for professionals seeking extra income while applying clinical skills outside traditional EMS, in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Current, valid EMT or Paramedic licensure/certification applicable to the position.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other healthcare technology.
• Ability to work independently while following established clinical protocols.
• Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for helping others.
• Willingness to provide occasional shift coverage based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Deliver patient care using Medcor's evidence-based clinical protocols.
• Respond to workplace medical emergencies and provide appropriate care.
• Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
• Coordinate with outside medical providers to monitor treatment plans and support employee recovery.
• Assist with daily operations of the onsite occupational health clinic.
• Perform pre-emergency and post-offer health screenings.
• Conduct PATs and support wellness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems; assist with OSHA records.
