Job summary

CRISP REGIONAL HOSPITAL is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN coverage in the Emergency Department on days and mid-shifts in Cordele, GA. The role requires strong nursing skills, acute care knowledge, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in a high-demand setting.

The RN must hold an associate's degree in nursing, an active RN license, BLS certification with ACLS/PALS to be obtained within six months of ED employment, and up to one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Requires up to one year of work-related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Requires a current state license as a Registered Nurse and is listed in good standing with the state’s Department of Professional Credentialing.
• Requires a current certification in Basic Life Support. ACLS and PALS must be obtained within six months of ED employment. TNCC is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and records an assessment of the patient’s condition, current symptoms, and a patient history.
• Collaborates with health care team regarding patient assessment data and assists in developing a treatment plan.
• Renders professional nursing care, including administration of medicine, IVs, monitoring EKG rhythms, venipuncture, IV catheter insertion, external defibrillation, and routine or complex treatments as prescribed.
• Uses professional judgment in treatment adjustments in collaboration with the healthcare team and notifies the physician as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and assists the physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educates patients and families about treatments, tests, and procedures to reduce fear and improve understanding.
