Job summary

TriCities Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an EEG Technologist PRN to perform routine, sleep, portable, CDS, EMG and EP studies on adult and pediatric patients, following hospital policies. You will ensure quality patient care and keep accurate records for physicians.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or EEG program graduate, have EEG experience, and can work independently in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Graduate of a recognized EEG School.
• Six months EEG experience.
• One year EEG/EMG/evoked potentials after formal training.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, sleep, portable, CDS, EMGs and EP studies on adult and pediatric patients.
• Ensures quality patient care within the defined area of accountability.
• Assures all records are available for physicians to read daily.
• Obtains pertinent patient history, including neurological and psychological screening.
• Demonstrates proficiency in operating and troubleshooting EEG/EMG/EP lab equipment.
• Restocks work areas with necessary supplies and keeps areas clean for patient safety.
• Submits activity reports as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
