TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, VA is seeking an EEG Technologist PRN to perform routine, sleep, portable, CDS, EMG and EP studies on adult and pediatric patients. You will ensure high quality patient care and maintain accurate daily records for physicians.

The role requires a high school diploma and EEG schooling; preferred candidates have 6 months EEG experience or 1 year EEG/EMG/evoked potentials training. This PRN position sits within a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a recognized EEG school.
• Preferred: six months EEG experience; one year EEG, EMG, and evoked potentials after formal training.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, sleep, portable, CDS, EMGs and EP studies on adult and pediatric patients according to Policies and Procedures.
• Ensures quality patient care within the defined area of accountability.
• Maintains complete records for physicians to read daily.
• Obtains pertinent patient history including neurological and psychological screening.
• Demonstrates proficiency in operating and troubleshooting EEG/EMG/EP lab equipment.
• Restocks work areas with supplies and keeps areas clean to promote patient safety.
• Submits activity reports as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
