Job summary

Texas Health HEB, located at 1600 Hospital Parkway, Bedford, TX 76022, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN mid-shift schedule (11a–11p). Requires RN license, 1 year ED experience, and relevant certifications.

Per diem shifts include holiday and weekend coverage as outlined. Position offers opportunities for professional growth and a supportive team in a Magnet-designated health system.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred.
• 1 year RN experience; emergency experience preferred.
• RN license upon hire.
• BCLS before independent patient care and quarterly maintenance.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training within 90 days.
• NIHSS certification within 90 days.
• ENPC within 12 months.
• TNCC within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates information provision to patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of care across shifts and during transfers.
