Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Texas Health HEB in Bedford. This PRN Level III role covers day shifts (7a–7p) with a per diem schedule, requiring a minimum of 6 shifts in 6 weeks, plus weekend and holiday coverage as described.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity ED, delivering nursing care using the Nursing Process, and ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license required (on hire)
• 1 year RN experience
• 1 year Emergency experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• CLIA/EQUIV for foreign education must be compliant
• BCLS required and maintained
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire
• CPI training within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire
• ENPC within 12 months
• TNCC within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control
• Initiates information sharing with patients and families
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Nursing Diploma

BSN preferred

RN - Registered Nurse license

CLIA Certification

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support

ACLS

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention

NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale

ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
