Job summary

Exceptional Community Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department and Med-Surg Unit. This role offers clinical variety and the chance to work across both acute care areas on a flexible PRN schedule.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Oklahoma RN licensure (or Compact license), BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2–3 years of ED or acute-care experience, plus strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• 2–3 years of ED and/or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• ED, Med-Surg, and telemetry experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining an engaged member of the healthcare team.
• Basic computer and electronic health record proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.

PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – ED & Med-Surg

Exceptional Community Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma is seeking an experienced PRN Registered Nurse (RN) who is comfortable working in both our Emergency Department and Med-Surg Unit.

This unique PRN position offers the opportunity to use both your emergency and inpatient nursing skills while supporting a collaborative community hospital team.

Nurses are scheduled in either the Emergency Department or Med-Surg Unit for each shift based on staffing and patient care needs. Department assignments may vary from shift to shift; however, nurses are not routinely expected to move between departments during the same shift.

What You'll Do

As a PRN RN, you will provide safe, compassionate nursing care while working closely with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Previous acute-care hospital nursing experience.
• 2–3 years of recent Emergency Department and/or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• ED, Med-Surg, and telemetry experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining an engaged member of the healthcare team.
• Basic computer and electronic health record proficiency.

Schedule

• PRN / As Needed
• 12-hour shifts
• ED or Med-Surg assignment based on staffing needs
• Weekend availability
• Holiday coverage as needed
