Job summary

Community Hospital South in Oklahoma City is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Room. The ER nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and collaborates with the patient, family, and health care team to coordinate treatment.

The role requires current Oklahoma RN licensure, with prior Med‑Surg/ER/ICU experience preferred, and BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within 120 days. PRN status implies as-needed shifts to support ER coverage.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients in the emergency room according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.
• Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.

Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for a RN to help work as needed in the emergency room. ER nurses provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the ER RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. ER nurses always works as a team member within the entire facility and will help performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.

Licensures & Experience

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.
