Job summary

ECU Behavioral Health in Greenville, NC is seeking an experienced ECT RN to join our growing program on a PRN basis. This role focuses on pre and post care for electroconvulsive therapy and support for the treatment team during procedures.

Ideal candidates will have ECT or procedural nursing experience and behavioral health background; the position primarily involves 8-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina or eligible to practice.
• ACLS, IV certification, CPR and de-escalation training required.
• Restraint certification may be required.
• PRN shift availability for day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all pre and post treatment nursing care for patients receiving ECT.
• Assist medical staff during administration of ECT and monitor patients during treatment and recovery.
• Provide education to patients and families about the ECT procedure.
• Perform pre-treatment assessments, treatment monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery management.
