Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking an Echo Technician II PRN to support cardiovascular imaging services in Dallas. The role requires proficiency in two-dimensional, M-mode and Doppler echocardiography and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates will have ultrasound credentials, relevant certifications, and at least 1 year of experience. The position includes on-call elements and weekend coverage, with opportunities to contribute to clinical

Qualifications

BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Must have a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Certified Cardiographic Technologist credential.
Experience: 1 year required for role.

Responsibilities

Visualize all cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels with appropriate measurements.
Integrate echocardiography results with other tests for clinical correlation (ICAEL requirement).
Demonstrate knowledge of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, tissue characteristics, and blood flow measurements.
Document abnormal echocardiography and Doppler velocities accurately.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
Assist in new staff orientation.
Prepare and instruct patients pre- and post-procedure.
