Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certificate preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit as required by the state.
• Prior kitchen or dish room experience preferred; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and organize dish storage and washing areas in accordance with all community safety and department policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using dish machines or manual cleaning methods, adhering to health and sanitation standards.
• Complete general cleanup and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sinks, washing machines, tables, cooking ranges, shelves, and floors.
• Maintain the dish machine and sinks, including checking detergent levels and sanitation levels, and report issues to supervisor.
• Transport meals to the CFL neighborhood and return carts to the kitchen in a timely manner.
• Assist cooks with basic food preparation and serve residents as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and adhere to SDS guidelines.
