Job summary

Evergreen Life Services seeks PRN Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate support to individuals with disabilities in various settings in Knoxville, TN. Roles are paid $2 extra per hour and can range from 8 to 28 hours per week based on schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (non-driver) or 21 years old (driver).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English and read/understand instructions, perform record-keeping, and write reports.
• Meet state agency requirements, including good standing with the abuse/neglect registry.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills (e.g., turn on/off, log in/out, input data, approve timesheet).
• Prior experience as a direct support worker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served and follow their plans of care.
• Encourage independence with each individual.
• Assist individuals with medications and treatment plans as needed.
• Assist with home care tasks including cleaning, money management, and shopping.
• Provide transportation in company or personal vehicle as requested.
