General Purpose: The dietary aide assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
Supervisory Requirements: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Language Skills: Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Certificates: Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical Demands: Standing, walking frequently; sitting occasionally; reaching, pushing/pulling frequently; talking/hearing frequently; tasting/smelling frequently; lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; good vision and focus ability.
Work Environment: Typically low to moderate noise level; reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
