A leading company in food service is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen operations. The role involves setting up meal trays, washing dishes, and ensuring a clean kitchen environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma and the ability to communicate effectively. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work cooperatively with staff.
General Purpose: The dietary aide assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift and the needs of the department. The dietary aide reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Supervisory Requirements: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Language Skills: Ability to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and effectively communicate with managers and staff.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk frequently, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical activities as described, with good vision and perception.
Work Environment: Typically low to moderate noise level, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
