Job summary

Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations. The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced radiology department.

The position supports PRN shifts (10 hours) across days, evenings, and weekends with on-call coverage. ARDMS/ARRT eligibility and BCLS certification are required, with a responsibility to document imaging in the PACS system.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical ultrasound experience.
• 2-4 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• ARDMS/ARRT certification or registry eligibility required (Sonography). BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures independently per department protocols.
• Verifies patient identification and appropriate orders prior to imaging.
• Documents imaging and ensures PACS submission for radiologist review.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Keeps a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with infection control policies.
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely and effectively per manufacturer guidelines.
