Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound under radiologist supervision, with responsibilities across exams and patient care in a busy radiology department.

The ideal candidate is ARDMS/ABR certified (AB/OBGYN), with BLS, and has graduated from a diagnostic ultrasound program. This is a PRN position with flexible scheduling to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS/ABR certification preferred; Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN registries acceptable.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exams and develops efficient techniques.
• Supports Patient-C-Centered Care by meeting patient needs as a caregiver.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer or Engineer.
• Operates Radiology computer system, entering exams and supplies and charging accordingly.
• Maintains a neat, stocked work area and keeps the area organized.
• Adheres to departmental rules and performs duties professionally.
